Stir fry recipes are the backbone for low fat dishes. The reason is that if a person stir fries using the correct oil, cooking utensils, and properly cut vegetables and meat, they will have a low fat meal. The end product will result in a healthy, heart friendly dish.
A healthy stir fry recipe requires a few basic steps. Vegetables are sliced thinly and into small pieces; thoroughly dried to prevent splattering of the oil and prevents sogginess. Stir frying is a quick cooking process which preserves many of the natural nutrients of the dish. That is one of the reasons stir frying is so healthy. Prior to placing ingredients in wok or broad rim pan, have each item ready to be placed in the pan as needed. The low fat healthy dishes that may be prepared are limitless.
The variety of dishes that may be stir fried include sesame asparagus, tango pork stir fry, brown rice stir fry, turkey and broccoli stir fry and the list is as broad as the person's imagination.
Stir frying is healthy in many ways and is convenient. It uses vegetables that contain large volumes of water which means low calorie meals. There is little oil, which reduces trans-fats and cholesterol. Stir fry food is mainly a one dish meal and it accommodates our fast paced schedules and accommodates our body's need for good healthy food.
