Yummy it's Time for Dessert!

There is always room for dessert, and with good reason too! Who doesn’t love a tasty treat after a nice meal. Even those conscientious of their weight can indulge. Not all desserts necessarily have to be mines of cavities waiting to happen. Here are a few recipes that will make the end of dinner that much more pleasant.

Those who love sweets might appreciate Whoopie Pies which calls for flour, baking cocoa, baking soda, salt, sugar, butter, 1 egg white, milk and marshmallow crème. Combine the flour cocoa, baking soda, salt and set aside.

In another bowl beat the sugar, butter or margarine and egg until fluffy then add the previous mixture. After heating the oven to 425 degrees place tablespoons of the mixture onto baking sheets for 5 minutes. Set to cool then make sandwiches with the marshmallow crème as the center.

If you’re looking to make something more simple consider any variety of a parfait. Parfaits are very flexible, allowing you to get creative and mix and match anything you fancy which works great for picky kids or guests. Try Uncle Sam’s Red, White and Blue Parfait which contains red gelatin cubes, and blue gelatin cubes with a creamy whipped topping center.

An Almond Torte With Fresh Raspberry Sauce Recipe is as delicious as it is elegant. The recipe requires flour, baking powder, sugar, butter, almond paste, 4 eggs, almond extract, raspberry sauce and whipped cream, almonds and raspberries for décor. Mix the sugar, butter and almond paste until fluffy then add the eggs one at a time. Stir in the almond extract then pour the batter into a lightly greased 9-inch cake pan. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes then cool for 10. Drizzle with raspberry sauce and enjoy!
