The many Italian dishes from different parts of the country are absolutely amazing. The northern Italian cuisines mostly consist of unsalted butter substituting olive oil. The northern region, especially Emilia and Romagna, have a great choice of beef, veal, and pork. They tend to use less tomatoes, wine, or broth along with fresh herbs to accent their dishes.
In the Piemonte region, one can find fabulous dishes such as agnolotti, creamy cheese tarts, and vegetable flan with a salad. For dessert, one can find an elegant panna cotta, hazelnut cake, or even a delicious candy called Gianduiotti. With the meal, one may also enjoy a fine Italian wine such as Barolo, Dolcetto, or Barbaresco.
Each region of Italy may cook some of the same meals but with different spices and flavors. The southern Italian region is most famous for the creation of pizza and spaghetti. These are two of the easiest and quickest Italian meals to prepare.
Although the northern regions cook with rice more than the southern regions, the southerners cook more with olive oil. The summer vegetables used to make these fabulous dishes consist of green beans, squash, purple eggplants, zucchini, and tomatoes. These ingredients combined with fresh beef, veal, or pork will make a delectable meal.
One may choose between tortellini or spaghetti tossed with salted gray mullet roe. Whatever the choice, be prepared to be amazed with the variety of flavors sliding across your tongue.
